Say Goodbye to Split Tables and “Forced Fun.”
Organizing a group event is stressful. Whether you are trying to reward a hardworking local team or planning a birthday party, you carry the pressure of making sure everyone is included. Traditional outings split your group into isolated tables, while typical “tech activities” can leave older staff or non-gamers feeling alienated and out of place.
At Virtual & Retro, we do things differently. Our central Havelock Street venue features custom VR Escape Rooms specifically engineered around communication, logic, and teamwork—not fast reflexes. We handle the entire schedule and guide your guests step-by-step, ensuring your team or family walks away completely re-energized.
From Stressed Planner to Event Hero in 3 Steps:
-
Step 1: Lock In Your Date : Contact us to choose an all-inclusive customised package that fits your budget perfectly.
-
Step 2: Show Up and Relax : Walk into our Havelock Street venue. Our friendly, expert local team takes over the hosting completely, coaching beginners so everyone feels successful.
-
Step 3: Enjoy the Afterglow : Walk away with a closer, happier office team on Monday morning, or a birthday group that will be buzzing all week.
Q: What if half our group has never touched a video game?
-
A: That is our absolute specialty. Our group escape rooms rely on communication and logic, not gaming skills. If your guests can move their hands and talk to each other, they can win. Older staff members and non-gamers consistently end up being the star players!
Q: Can we use the private meeting room?
-
A: Yes! Local small businesses love combining work with play. You can utilize our private meeting space for team strategy sessions or presentations first, then break out into the main arena for team building. We can even provide TVs/Projectors if you need them.
Q: Can we have food or refreshments?
-
A: Yes! We have coffee and tea freely available for our customers, as well as cold soft drinks and snacks. We are happy to arrange catering should you desire.
Q: Where can we park?
-
There is plenty of free parking (up to 180 minutes) in the West St car park nearby, or paid full day parking on Cass St.
